Things to Do on Weber Ranch

Hunting

From October 1 thru Jan31 the Ranch is leased for Deer Hunting. This option has limited openings.

During the Spring Turkey season Day Hunting is available. The hunting will be limited to 2 Hunters per day at $200 per day and Kill Fee of $250 for one and $400 for 2, lodging excluded.

February through May, hunting for Axis Bucks and Blackbuck Antleope is available on selected Weekends for a $200 per day plus a Kill Fee of $2,000 for Axis a Buck and $2,400 for a Blackbuck male, lodging excluded.

Fishing

Fishing is available in a stocked 1 acre pond and the West Prong of the Medina River. The Pond is mostly catch and release. Check on Catfish and Bass limits upon arrival in the pond. There will be no limit on Sunfish/Bream. The River has several types of native fish (Bass, Catfish, Sunfish/Bream) where State regulations and limits would apply.

Hiking and Biking

Guests may enjoy the ranch roads by bicycle or simply enjoy hikes through the wilderness. Those wanting a rigorous hiking challenge may wish to climb the mountain where a cave is available for exploring. Enjoy watching all the wildlife of Birds, Butterflies, Deer, Turkey, and many more.

Fossil Hunting

If the past is of interest, we have some of the best Fossil hunting locations. Available for viewing are many fossils found on the Ranch over the many years. The only thing we ask is no digging with a shovel except in the creek bottom. In addition, we have a “Live Cave” with an entrance on top of the mountain. We have geologist doing studies of both.

Swimming

With a private frontage on the West Prong of the Medina river you can enjoy the hot summer days swimming, tubing, or just sitting in the water. Even though the river is public, waters very few float by since the upstream access is limited. Tubes are available for rent in Medina or bring your own.

Sightseeing

Enjoy a drive on the famous Three Sisters (336,337, 338) highways which includes Leakey, Utopia, Tarpley, Bandera and Medina. We are less than an hour from Lost Maples State Park. We are 1.5 hours from Fredricksburg where you can enjoy the Main Street stores and great Restaurants. We are 15 minutes from Bandera, the Cowboy Capital of the World.
